Tae Kwon-Do black belts from all over the country descended on Trinity School, Newbury, last weekend, for a course about umpiring at martial arts events.
The course, organised by the Tae Kwon-Do Association of Great Britain, covered the practical side of judging competitors and was aimed at enabling participants to officiate at national level.
Instructor Martyn Dipper, who helped run the course, said "These courses are important, as well-trained umpires and referees are the key to maintaining the high standard expected at TAGB competitions. Efficient organisation at these events is vital as there are often over 2,000 competitors."
